VIP's:
"Whisky" by Richard Paterson, Master Blender of Whyte & MacKay
"Rebranding" by Annabel Meikel, Whisky Creator and Sensory Expert of Glenmorangie

Whyte & Mackay:
Coming from a family with a strong connection to the Scotch Whisky Industry, Richard joined Whyte & McKay in 1970 and within 5 years he became their Master Blender; aged 26, he was reputed at that time to be Scotland's youngest Master Blender.

Richard  will share his story about the Whyte & MacKay brand. Founded in 1844 on the docks of Glasgow, Whyte & MacKay has remained true to itself and the pioneering spirit of its founders for over 160 years. (www.whyteandmackay.com)

Glenmorangie:
Glenmorangie has maintained the position of the best selling single malt in Scotland since 1983, and produces around 10 million bottles per annum. The previous owners, the MacDonalds, sold the company to Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton in 2004, the world's largest luxury brands group, for around £300m.

Following the acquisition, Glenmorangie was given a brand overhaul that would appear to re-position Glenmorangie as an international luxury brand. Annabel Meikel, part of the Glenmorangie Creation Team, is pleased to discuss her thoughts and experiences of the rebranding with Thrive. (www.glenmorangie.com)
